Unique Ceremony Seating
Move over, Chiavari chairs! Opting for unique ceremony seating is a great way to add interest to a wedding scape. The elegant poufs at this ceremony setup by @ksenia.ridolfi.weddings (top left and right) allows the floral design to shine. We love the modern ceremony setup with comfy lounge seating and coffee tables at this Lake Como wedding spotted on @lakecomoweddings (bottom left). So cozy and chic! The organic ceremony seating at @ashabailey_‘s wedding (bottom right) are an absolute dream.
Structural Cakes
Tiered cakes are classic, but adding texture takes them to another level. We can’t get enough of the fluted texture on this cake by @by.gigi – so architectural and modern! The delicate pleats on this cake by @delarosacakes (right) mimic the texture of the dreamiest fabric.
Blooms With a Side of Cake
If you’re not into cake toppers or candles, the best way to frame your wedding cake is with flower-heavy cake displays. They mimic the look of flowers growing from the base of the cake. We love the juxtaposition of bright, whimsical florals with a more minimal cake, as seen on @irisandbarryblooms‘ “cake garden” (left) and @ashleyfoxdesigns (right).
Modern, Moody Color Palettes
Your wedding colors don’t always have to be light and airy. While we will always love a soft moment, don’t be afraid to go bold if you feel like that better reflects you and your partner. Our moodboard is currently filled with a more contrasted color palette. We love the use of black for statements on signage and bars. This signage by @rebel.reflect (top right) is perfectly complemented with contrasting white and deep plum florals at this wedding captured by @fernandstonephotography (top left). The moody black draping at this reception dinner setup by @alison_events (bottom left and right) is breathtaking and brings the drama.
Circular Ceremony Seating
Circular ceremony seating is a creative, modern arrangement that draws focus to the vows and can offer a solution for any distracting venue or location challenges. The circular arrangements photographed by @carolinetran (left) and @michellebeller (right) feel intimate, with curved seating set up to literally surround the couple with the people they love. Rounded ceremony seating keeps the focus on the couple, and there’s no bad seat in the house.
Something Blue
Historically, the color blue has been incorporated into weddings because it symbolizes love and faithfulness. We love the fresh takes on this tradition, from the cloud-like hydrangea floral installation by @beachplumfloral (left), to the bridesmaids dresses in shades of blue spotted on and photographed by @camera_shi (right).
Botanical Ice Cubes
How incredible are these ice cubes by @discocubes?! They are like little fossilized flowers, turning a glass of water or a cocktail into an experience with nature – perfect for a bridal shower or a welcome party.
Serpentine Reception Tables
Long tables are great for a communal dinner reception, but a winding, curved layout levels up the wedding dinner experience. Serpentine tables make a bold design statement when you’ve got a lot of space to work with. We can’t get enough of these bold, dramatic dinner receptions spotted on @juliaandevita (top left and right), @silviaporopatweddings (bottom left), and @yulialongo_photography (bottom right).
Toi et Moi Engagement Ring
Toi et moi, French for “you and me”, are a style of engagement ring that dates back to the 18th century. The design symbolizes partnership and union, two lives and hearts coming together. Our favorite toi et moi rings have scaled up mega stones (duh), as seen on these beauties by @natashaschweitzer (left) and @marrowfine (right).
