Take a journey to the brand’s beginning, where history meets the bohemian spirit of a city, bursting with ideals and fuelled by the passion for curiosity. Inspired by the artists, poets, and rebels of Paris, Tales from the Seine takes you on a textural voyage, with Art Nouveau-influenced embroideries, French floral garden prints, and vintage-inspired crochet. The collection is a reflection of the past and the future, following a rebellious muse on a Wonderland-like journey from the banks of the Seine into a garden come alive by the light of the moon.
Living in Paris, founder and designer Michele Corty married the love of her life on Rue de Seine, a street humming with creativity, artistic energy, passion, and art. After living in Paris, Michele moved back to New Zealand and started the brand. Rue De Seine is full of flowing silhouettes, unique embroideries and laces, hand-crocheted gowns, and bold beaded florals that are romantic, ethereal, and embody the adventurous spirit.
