For our latest Lovely Lookbook, we traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to meet up with Instagram influencer, actress, and mega babe Allie DeBerry. After recently getting married, Allie missed trying on wedding gowns. So, we came up with the cure to having post-wedding dress FOMO.  We arranged the ultimate bridal dress up day with a few of our favorite designers and a dream team of local wedding experts.

Along the way, we learned incredible tricks from a few of Arizona’s most talented vendors. Want to get insider tips from the pros? Read below.

Bombshell Workouts For Brides

I swear by POPSUGAR Fitness videos on YouTube! I canceled my gym membership + am able to do a quick workout right in my living room. I love that there are so many to choose from that I never get bored and I am able to pick what part of the body I want to focus on! Perfect for a bride with a busy schedule.

Beyond The Bouquet

When creating the vision for your wedding day; be as creative as you can. You can use flowers in more than just a bouquet. One of my favorite ways is to use flowers is in the bride’s hair. I can create crowns + headpieces in all shapes and sizes to be weaved into a braid or subtly hold back one side. Another way to go beyond the bouquet is to create an arrangement in an heirloom bag. It’s a fun and statement making way to hold your flowers. And don’t forget to preserve the flowers after the day, to keep the memories close.

Play With Light For Bridal Portraits

While shooting, I try to build my shot off of the light source first. Utilize the glow of the sunset, light streaming though a window, the shadows of the harsh sun, or dreamy soft blue light after the sun has dropped.

Stay-put Makeup in Extreme Heat

In the Arizona heat, how you prep + set your makeup will make or break your wedding day look. Foundation applied with a wet beauty blender, set with translucent powder + setting spray will have your makeup to stay (and slay) all day.
