The latest Alexandra Grecco collection has officially launched and is a fresh-picked garden of texture and whimsy.
We are so excited that the Alexandra Grecco Birdie Collection has arrived at Lovely Bride! Birdie is an ode the designer’s special grandmother known for her fashion sense, boundless creativity, and green thumb. The collection is classic and chic, with lots of texture and luxurious finishes, and a hints of unexpected detail or whimsical flair.
A word on the collection from Alexandra Grecco: “This collection is inspired by my grandmother, Roberta, also known as ‘Birdie.’ It is a celebration of her life in Brooklyn, her love for gardening and floral arranging, and of course, her impeccable style.”
“For this collection, we chose fabrications and details that felt nostalgic yet fresh, and we balanced structure with romantic draping and ethereal textures. Along with our signature buttery silks, we constructed pieces in luminous sheer organza, delicate Chantilly lace, and wispy tulle. The embroidery placement is playful, yet refined and sculptural to reflect my grandmother’s love for floral arranging. My dream is that the heirloom quality of our pieces lends itself to being passed down between generations; our gowns as cherished memories to live on again.”
This special collection offers an assortment of luxurious and timeless solid styles as well as playful and romantic textural pieces. Hand-selected Chantilly lace, the brand’s signature 3D floral appliqué, and luminous silk crepe and organza can be found throughout the collection. The collection’s silhouettes include fitted gowns, relaxed slips, and soft A-lines, which feature modern touches such as semi-sheer structured corset bodices, curved necklines, and sheer cap sleeves.
