Tell us about you and Curtis as a couple
Curtis and I are complete opposites. I never understood the “opposites attract” cliché but it’s true for us. If he could, Curtis would like to have each day planned out by the hour. He was the one who created our wedding checklist and made sure we were on top of all of our deadlines. He keeps our lives on track and I would feel lost without him next to me. I’m the dreamer. I find joy in making our our space and our moments together beautiful.
How did he propose?
He proposed at our church’s summer camp while we were camp counselors. He brought me on stage and got down on one knee. It was really special, because all of the kids ran up to us right after and I lost it.

How did you know Vagabond’s ‘Luna’ was your dream dress?
I went into Lovely Bride knowing that I wanted to take a risk on my wedding day but to still feel like a bride. When I saw the Luna dress in the Mocha color, I knew it was the one. The multiple layers of blush tulle looked like a dream and as soon as I put it on, it felt like me. Funny enough, my mom and sister weren’t as excited as I was. I think they had pictured me in something all white and more fitted. Ultimately, I knew that I had to go with my gut and remain confident in how I felt in the dress.
Describe your wedding vision.
Bohemian-glam! It was important that the wedding reflected my personal style, which is mostly bohemian and feminine. I also wanted to make sure that our wedding felt like California, since it’s where we are planted. Farm-to-table food, tons of greenery and lots of fun!
What will you remember most about your wedding?
Walking towards Curtis down the aisle. We locked eyes and really felt the weight of what was happening. It’s a moment I never want to forget.
