Lovelies, the grand reveal of Jessica Long’s Lovers Society wedding dress is here!
You may remember 13 x Paralympic Gold Medalist, Jessica Long from our try-on session at Lovely Bride Philadelphia. We had a day of dress up in Lovers Society, but made sure not to post THE dress that she would wear down the aisle. As always we kept our promise… what happens at Lovely, stays at Lovely until after the wedding. Today is the day that we can finally show you what gown she chose. We are thrilled that Jessica wore our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes ‘Wyatt’ gown for her wedding.
From bridesmaids in soft shades of pink to dreamy pampas grass floral installations, every detail of Jessica and Lucas’ wedding was effortlessly bohemian. Meet Jessica + Lucas
Tell us about you and Lucas as a couple?
We love laughing and being outside! Since we started dating 5 years ago, we really worked on putting in the work if that makes sense. Setting good habits, creating goals for us and individually, taking time for each other, communicating and lots of date nights. We laid down a good foundation of friendship first and that has helped carry us in every way.
How did he propose?
I knew it was coming and actually got my nails done the day before and picked out an outfit. It was the first day I was back from competing in Australia and Lucas suggested we go on a walk in a few days. Not like him to suggest a walk that far in advance. I knew right then and there it was our moment. That morning he seemed nervous and so sweet! We went to our favorite spot to hike and about a mile in he finally asked! He maybe got down on his knee for 3 seconds. It was just us. All alone. It was really sweet. We walked the mile back to our car and talked all wedding details. After we went back to my place to get ready to meet his and my family at a vineyard to celebrate. It was really special!
How did you know your Lovers Society Wyatt was THE one?
I first saw Lovers Society Wyatt on Pinterest. I looked into the nearest location and found Lovely Bride in Philly. I don’t know how to explain it, but I just knew it was the one. I couldn’t stop picturing myself in THAT dress. It showed off my swimmers back. It had the most beautiful lace and not too much of it, just enough that you noticed. It was simple, yet a statement. I kept going back to that dress. When I finally decided it was the one, it was just me at the Lovely Bride store in Philly. I was staring in the mirror and the song my sister was going to sing at our wedding started playing. That was all it took after looking for months!
