Lovely Brides, we are so excited to announce our newest designer, French cool-girl, Rime Arodaky.
She was trained at the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture de Paris and designed at Sonia Rykiel before launching the first Rime Arodaky bridal collection in 2011. Wondering who the ideal Rime bride might be? Rebel Goddesses, of course! Aka strong, empowered, feminine women…the very definition of #OurLovelies.
You’ll see the rebel and goddess mix when you browse the Stardust and Iconics collections below. The silhouettes, bold sleeves, lace cutouts, and crepe two-piece sets are the perfect mix of beautiful, edgy, and effortlessly cool. Read on for our Q&A with the designer, then try to choose just one of your favorites from the collection images.

When and how did you get your start?
I started in 2011 with a blog where I shared my inspirations and immediately chose to mix and insert fashion & attitude to the bridal world, at the time known to be static and not very modern.

Rime Arodaky Stardust Collection: ‘Queen’ wedding dress.
Describe the Rime Arodaky Bride.
Our Muse is bold, effortless, feminine and boyish at the same time, free spirited, and not afraid to be sexy.

What was the inspiration behind the 2020 Stardust collection?
The fun and emancipated vibe that the 80’s decade brought. It’s all about how women became empowered and defied so many things at that time. It’s also my birth decade and the pop culture at the time was so inspiring and visually striking to me as a child and teenager. It became part of my main inspiration.

Did you have a Muse for the Stardust collection?
Many of them! It’s Liv Tyler in Aerosmith videos, it’s Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, Whitney Houston, Brooke Shields, Cindy Crawford, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kim Basinger, Tiffany Thiessen in Saved by the Bell…

Rime Arodaky Iconics Collection: ‘Joni’ wedding dress

What do you love most about the design process?
I love drawing while listening to the music that relates to the mood of my next collection. I love putting up all the moodboards and think about the campaigns that will come with it. I love having a vision and see it come to life during fittings. And of course to see the « Rime Arodaky army of babes » all together at the end of a show. I feel so grateful to see it all together.

What bridal trend are you currently loving?
Puffy sleeves!

Rime Arodaky Iconics Collection: ‘Coppelia’ wedding dress
When you’re not designing, you like to (fill in the blank)
Dance, do yoga, spend time with my man, our kids and fur babies.
