This rustic, boho wedding with DIY elements embraced all that the natural New York woodland had to offer. Andrea + Chuck wanted an outdoor venue not too close or far from New York City, so they chose campgrounds in upstate New York where guests were lodged in rustic cabins. Brown card-stock invitations with woodland graphic designs were tied with baker’s twine and sealed with orange wax stamps, which hinted to guests the nature of the wedding, captured by We Are Diamond Eyes. All the decor was handmade by the couple, friends and family – from the dream-catchers spread to the flower arrangements created with wildflowers purchased from a local farm and Indian headbands for guests to wear or take home – with the help of planners from Jove Meyer Events. Dinner at the outdoor reception was made with produce from a nearby farm, such as farro salads, heirloom tomatoes and corn salad. We especially loved Andrea’s efforts to make each bridesmaid happy through purchasing vintage slip dresses and dying them based on individual preference of color at Olive’s Very Vintage. “Along with all the crafts we spent so much time making, all our friends have a dream catcher, an Indian headband or a crazy mask somewhere in their house,” Andrea says. “We wanted everything to be super-personal and bring everyone together.”
