Real Wedding: Tera + Jeremy
Tell us about the dress and what inspired your look.
My husband and I decided that our wedding would take place by the shore, so I knew that I was looking for a very simple, yet elegant dress that would easily flow and move freely outdoors. I tried on several dresses, ranging in very different styles, but I kept thinking about this one Sarah Seven dress. When I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I knew that was the one!
What were the most important details to pulling off your dream wedding?
We decided to keep our wedding very small and simple, and I think that made all the difference in pulling off our dream wedding. We decided to opt out of having bridesmaids or groomsmen… Just the two of us under the arch. We also wanted our wedding to take place at my parents’ home, which allowed our ceremony and reception to be completely relaxed, comfortable, and meaningful for us.
What was the most memorable moment?
No other moment could compete with walking down the aisle and seeing my husband standing at the arch, waiting for me. He took my breath away and we were both swept up in a storm of emotion. I’ll always remember how magical that moment was for us.
If you could give future brides any advice, what would it be?
Savor every single, glorious moment because the day will go by in a flash! Be completely present in and grateful for the love that is surrounding you. Be right next to your partner for the entire reception because you’ll want to look back on your wedding day with the same experiences, conversations, and memories. Your wedding day will be magical, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s only a single day. What matters most is the happiness in your marriage. Cheers to you!
