Real Wedding: Brittany + Bryan
Tell us about the dress and what inspired your look.
Well, my dress actually came as a surprise to me. I can’t lie, I have one of those “went in wanting something completely different” stories. I knew that my designer HAD to be Sarah Seven, I had been obsessing over her gowns since before I was even engaged, so I headed to the only place that had them: Lovely Bride Philadelphia. I went in thinking that I wanted a strapless simple gown, but with some last minute suggestions from my consultant she brought in the “Mademoiselle” dress and I put it on and I was in love! My eyes lit up and I couldn’t keep a smile off my face. It was comfortable, which was very important to me, and perfect and I knew I couldn’t leave without it. My look was definitely nature inspired, I knew I wanted to keep it simple with large beautiful details, like the lace on my dress and my gold floral headpiece.
What were the most important details to pulling off your dream wedding?
Most important details to me were the pieces my now husband and I found while antiquing, like our vintage mismatched wine glasses and all the little brass animals for our tables.
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment for me was seeing Bryan for the first time at the end of the aisle; it’s definitely something that will give me butterflies for the rest of my life.
If you could give future brides any advice, what would it be?
It’s your wedding, do it your way. There will be lots of people trying to give you advice; make sure you stick to your ideas and not theirs! And one last thing, something will go wrong and it will be okay, no one will even notice, just sit back and take in every perfect moment of your day!
