I’ve always been a huge fan of dessert bars. I think mainly in part because I don’t really love cake (unless of course it contains ice cream and lots of crunchy chocolate chips. I’m looking at you, Carvel.) and instead really adore pies and other types of sweets you might not always find at a wedding. However, my good friend thinks the opposite and we’ve always argued about it. She likes to stick with tradition, I like to think outside the box. Where do you fall?

Me? That. Definitely, that. Plus, one of the great things about a dessert table is that there is room for DIY’s. Who said you can’t assign a yummy recipe to each of your closest friends? Here are a few that are easy to make and look like a lot of fun:

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachios & Sea Salt

Tiramisu Cupcakes

Stracciatella alla Mascarpone, limone e Cioccolato

Lemon Bars

Blueberry Pudding Cake

Mini Chocolate Orange Cheesecakes

Would you prefer to stick with tradition and have a big cake, or would you prefer to give your guests plenty of sweets to choose from with a dessert bar? Or maybe even both? Let me know in the comments!
